New Year’s resolution
So… the internet happened.
I’ve had this website since 2009. I’ve never had any security problems and I’ve managed any security myself. For the first time, my site was hacked. How? I have no idea. It just happened.
After the heart attack (exaggeration and paying for malware removal, my site was broken. All content is still there on my server, but the overall design just kinda… died.
The irony is, as a part of my new year’s resolutions, I was going to give my site a new design anyway. But, my resolution is to finish projects that have been ongoing for while, before starting new projects, including a new site design.
Change of plans.
I’m using a default theme for my site. You’ll notice pages and various media content is no longer accessible. Not to worry (though I appreciate your concern), it’s all still here, just inaccessible for now. My blog won’t be changed, it’s all the same.
I don’t see the point of doing all the work required to build a temporary design since I was going to redesign anyway. So, for the time being, a simple default theme.
It’s secure and clean (now, after all the heartache). The downloads are fine. Social media links are still shareable (by all means). New and exciting web design will be coming in a couple of weeks (you’ll love it).
Truth be told, I’m not a fan of resolutions. This year, I’m making an exception. Why? Because I can.
My resolutions are simple.
Finish your shit! (My shit, not you, no insults intended).
- The Ash Garden. I’ve finished self-editing, the story is now being butchered (lovingly and happily) by proof readers. I look forward to seeing the result.
- Web design. I’m going to make my site a star! (No peeking, in a couple of weeks).
- Cottonseeds issue 3. I’ve already started, it’s just a matter of putting it all together.
(SEO is still giving me a bunch of warnings. Yeah, I don’t care).
Note: Cottonseeds has been removed from the website. When a more complete version of the whole story is ready, it will be uploaded to the site again.Affiliates:
